1. Acceptance
"Tazart", "we", "us" refers to the entity that publishes the Tazart iOS app and the tazart.app website. "You" refers to the person using Tazart. By installing or using Tazart you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please uninstall the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your country, whichever is higher) and legally able to enter a binding contract. Tazart is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly accept their accounts.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for activity under your account. Tell us at support@tazart.app if you suspect unauthorized access. You can delete your account any time from Profile → Account → Delete account.
4. License & permitted use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Tazart on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved. You may not:
- Decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble the app, except where allowed by law;
- Use Tazart to build a competing product or to scrape our content;
- Resell, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the app or any subscription;
- Remove proprietary notices, logos, or labels.
5. Tazart Pro subscription
Tazart Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that unlocks premium features. The disclosure below satisfies Apple's requirements under App Store Review Guideline 3.1.2(a):

6. Refunds
All payments go through Apple, so refunds are issued by Apple. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't have the ability to issue refunds directly, but we're happy to advocate on your behalf — write to support@tazart.app.
7. Plant identifier & AI advice
Tazart's plant identifier and Dr. Afrao assistant are powered by large AI models. They're useful, but they aren't infallible. Care recommendations are informational and not professional advice. Always cross-check edibility, pet safety, and toxicity claims with a qualified professional or a recognized database like the ASPCA's toxic-plant list before acting on them.
Tazart is not liable for plant loss, allergic reaction, illness, or injury arising from reliance on AI-generated content. Use your own judgment.
8. Your content
Photos, journal entries, and chat messages you create in Tazart ("Your Content") belong to you. You grant Tazart a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, sync, and display Your Content so we can deliver the service to you, and to back it up across devices. We never sell or license Your Content to third parties for AI training or advertising.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Tazart to:
- Upload illegal, infringing, harassing, or hateful material;
- Attempt to access another user's account, our infrastructure, or non-public data;
- Probe, scan, or stress-test our systems, except as part of a coordinated security disclosure to security@tazart.app;
- Use automated means to ingest the catalog or the AI endpoints;
- Bypass the free-tier limits, ad display, or subscription gating.
10. Intellectual property
Tazart, the Tazart logo, "Dr. Afrao", and the app's UI, copy, illustrations, and software are the property of Tazart or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
11. Third-party services
Tazart relies on Apple (Sign in with Apple, iCloud, StoreKit), Cloudflare (AI proxy, DNS, CDN), and OpenAI (plant identifier and Dr. Afrao) to deliver features (see our Privacy Policy for the full list). Their terms govern your use of those services through Tazart. We're not responsible for outages or content originated by third parties.
12. Termination
You may stop using Tazart at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or use it in a way that causes harm to other users or our infrastructure. We'll give notice where reasonable and refund any prepaid amount that remains unused to the extent required by law.
13. Disclaimers
Tazart is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions will be accurate.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tazart's total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Tazart in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or plant loss, even if advised of the possibility.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability — in those places these limits apply only to the maximum extent allowed by law, and nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Tazart harmless from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Tazart is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU/UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence.
We'll try to resolve any dispute with you informally first — please write to legal@tazart.app. Where informal resolution fails, disputes will be brought before the competent courts of our place of establishment, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring it locally.
Apple-required clause. You and Tazart acknowledge that this license agreement is concluded between you and Tazart only, and not with Apple, and Tazart (not Apple) is solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the app. In the event of a failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product changes or new legal requirements. Material changes are announced inside the app and on this page at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Tazart after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
